Let's make soup stock! Step #1: pick your bones! beef soup bones, smoked ham shank, 5 gallon freezer bag full of leftover costco chicken and thanksgiving turkey bones. Kate: "Today's choice is chicken!" Add to a pot: your choice of bones, carrot peels and ends, celery tops + bottoms, onion tops + bits, chopped fresh garlic, bay leaves, herbs+spices, whole black pepper, marjoram, rosemary, dill, thyme, sage. Whatever you've got is fine! Keep an eye on it! Add more water as it will boil off. It's gonna take several hours of simmering, so clean up and get ready for soup.
